According to the hacker network Anonymous, NASA is about to provide evidence of alien life.
Anonymous made a video announcement talking about the recent discovery of 219 new planets outside our Solar System and Thomas Zurbuchen's (NASA) statement in April which said that "Taking into account all of the different activities and missions that are specifically searching for evidence of alien life, we are on the verge of making one of the most profound, unprecedented, discoveries in history."
Based on the group, this statement together with the discovery of the new planets is an evidence that there's something/someone up there.
However, when looking into the details, Anonymous might be just making claims it can't back up. What the Zurbuchen's statement from April means is simply that we have made advancements to our ability to search for extraterrestrial life. Nothing else. NASA does have better tools than ever to find evidence of alien life but no real evidence of it yet.
While we can't know if Anonymous actually knows something we don't, the current statement does seem a bit far fetched. At the same time, even Stephen Hawking is now "more convinced than ever that we are not alone".
And based on simple logics, there's definitely something out there. Considering the estimated number of planets which support life, the estimated number being millions after millions, there's no way there's nobody else out there. However, whether we will actually make contact with anyone else within our lifetimes is already a totally different question, considering the size of the universe and the technology currently in our disposal that can be used to travel in the space. Even Neil deGrasse Tyson says that there's not much chance of us finding any alien life within the next 50 years.
