Iraq - The Governing Council gives a warning to the United States regarding the siege of Falluja. The council went so far as to say that this was "genocide."
Algeria- An election was held and President Boutefika won with 83% of the vote. Most opposition candidates question the validatety of the vote, contending the election was rigged.
United States- The National Security Advisor, Convaleeza Rice testified before the commision looking in to the 911 attacks. The reaction of the victims families was mixed and no revelations or apologies were forthcoming.
United States- John Kerry was back on the campaign trail. He was advocating his economics over that of Mr. Bush and the mud-slinging continues.
Japan- The Prime Minister of Japan vows not to relent to terrorists and not to pull his troops out of Iraq. The Prime Minister is facing difficult times from his constituents at home, but so far is not giving in.
