British medical journal Lancet Oncology published results of a survey that included 552 women. The survey was about a vaccine called Gardasil which is ment to prevent cancer.
The results of the study show that we are pretty close to finding a perfect vaccine against cancer. Supposedly, the vaccine can reduce the risk of cancer by 90%.
The vaccine has been created by Merck. Later this year we can expect the results of a similar study by Merck, only then it will include already 25 000 people instead of just 552.
